RE: Synchronization with a Sonyericsson P800 ~Sigmund Ophipiburetsi 3.Feb.03 04:37 PM a Web browser General 6.0Windows XP
Hm, this sound strange.
I would assume that the Ericsson software that comes with the phone uses the local Notes DLLs to access the Notes data. Then it should be able to access the Notes 6 data also.
I had a similar situation with the Lotus EasySync 4.1. It wasn't willing to access my local databases with an ODS 43 (the ND6 ODS). I had a parallel installation of Notes 5 (since our organization hasn't upgraded to Domino 6 servers yet) and Notes 6. Unfortunately, EasySync only found the registry key pointing to the R5 DLLs.
I simply moved the program directory of the R5 installation to some other location, then installed EasySync again, which caused it to complain about not finding the DLLs. Fortunately, it allowed me to enter an alternative path, which I used to give it the Notes 6 directory. Since then, everything is working smoothly.
So, if you also have a parallel installation of Notes 5 and 6, maybe this could be a workaround that could work for you, also.
I'd be greatly interested if that is the case, because the fact that the P800 can't snyc with ND6 would definitely be a show stopper (for now).
